Plants at the Crossroads
Chthonic Herbalism
The Crossroads is the intersection of realms in the tangible and intangible, and they have played an essential role in religion, spirituality, myth, and magic. They are a reflection of Otherness, and the deities and spirits that are associated with it also embody that same nature.
We have dealt with crossroads and crossroad-territories since the beginning of time: magical and devotional practices have been carried out in their honour. But what do those practices intend? What do those spirits we associate with the nowhere have in common? What plants reflect that concept of otherness?
