Flowers for the Dead

In this course, we shall discover the protagonists of ancient rituals which connected spring and the Dead: the rose, the violet, and other Plant Spirits which offer unspoken links between the Season of Floration and Ancestor Veneration, crystallized in the ancient festivities of the Rosaliae and the Violariae held during spring months.

We shall delve into the enigmatic Rose as one of the least known plants of Hecate, without forgetting about other Mighty Spirits, such as Violets, Anemones, Narcissus, Saffron, Iris or Hyacynth, among others.

Finally, we shall delve into the history and customs surrounding flower wreaths and garlands in Ancestor Worship.
